Made in Britain promoted English language writing by authors of an ethnic origin. Our client, an independent national charity 'inspiring more people to read more' wanted us to design the promotional materials for display in libraries and education centres.
This is a multi cultural country and we took the union flag and added a little colour to reflect the diverse nature of our society. The title was made up of a variety of fonts to add to the foreign/English mix.

As part of their remit to 'inspire more people to read more' our client, an independent national charity, joined up with Costa Coffee to create a national campaign to encourage people to get the reading habit. The successful completion of six books leads to a certificate and a lot of people discovering and rediscovering the joy of reading.
For the second year of the promotion we commissioned illustrator Patrick Morgan to provide a series of studies of people reading which were used across the range of printed materials. Around 7000 people took part in 2008, the first year, and more are coming on board with every passing year.

The school offers fresh perspectives in tai chi, qigong, movement training and development. It has produced two educational films for which a new identity, packaging and logo were required.
The courses " often include working outside... linking nature to one's own nature.." which clearly suggested outdoor shoots with teachers and students. Doing it for real is at the heart of the school's identity.

We sensed that there were many people 'poised on the brink' but not sure where to start. The main image was of the man standing at the edge of a sea pool and this supporting image was used in a light hearted way to show that success is there for those prepared to take the plunge.

Our client is an independent national charity 'inspiring more people to read more'.
Prison punishes families as well as offenders. It can take away the vital role of a parent, often a father, in the formative years of his children's life. Reading can help to keep the family bond strong and can help an imprisoned parent to be a positive role model to his or her children.
Our client developed a scheme where children's librarians help prisoners to choose a book, to make a recording of themselves reading it and to give it to their children. The brief was to produce imagery and literature to promote the project nationally.

The oldest 'stand up' surf club in Europe wanted to record over five decades of stories and iconic imagery. What started as a consultation swiftly became, 'design, layout and oversee production'.
Discipline needed to be imposed on hundreds of pages of different types of copy, thousands of images and sometimes diverging ideas. We distilled these disparate parts into 60,000 words and 540 pictures over 256 pages, each of which was passed on press.
